Antalya’s Muratpaşa Municipality placed a board in Cumhuriyet Square with the names of 116 cities from around the world that participated in the Kaleiçi Old Town Festival.

Held in Kaleiçi, an ancient city in Antalya with a history dating back to the 4th century BC, the festival aims to connect historical Kaleiçi with world cities. The city names on the board symbolize friendship and cultural solidarity.

The 9th edition of the festival, organized by Muratpaşa Municipality, seeks to create a network of solidarity between cities with ancient histories. The board, featuring 116 cities from 39 countries, represents these connections, drawing attention from locals and tourists alike.

Mayor Ümit Uysal said: “Our Kaleiçi Old Town Festival is now 9 years old. This board includes all our friendly cities, showing how our cities will flourish from the friendship we’ve built.”

Biograd na Moru is one of the cities on the board.
